Yearning

Yearning says it all already! Imagine the dream that drives your creative existence. For which ever reason, a vision of something so desirable that it sparks the energy from within your soul to create and take the incredible open ended journey towards that ever shifting goal. Each moment you come closer to it it moves the chains to keep your drive going. This is what inspired me to write "Yearning". This track expresses the constant flow of daily life within its bass and beat, having the beautiful image of the dream expressed in the vocal line and the almost reaching of the ever traveling goal line in the open ended harmony. it is a yearning feeling full of hope and joy, no frustration, because even if the goal will never be met, it pushes the creative process to new limits. Fuels the hunger for becoming is true an artist to what you admire so much in your idols (J.S.Bach, Stravinsky, Shostakovitch, Prokofiev, Brahms, Mozart, Beethoven, Mahler, etc... the list is open ended!!)
Enjoy the emotional ride this track provides you and share the love!

Motion

I wrote the track Motion very soon after I had surgery for my torn patella tendon (Football injury, the real Football!!). After two weeks of heavy painkillers and no movement in my injured leg at all, I was finally allowed to unlock my leg brace for some very minor leg bending therapy. This track expresses my incredible joy of being able to, even though only limited, moving my leg on my own at that time. The Joy totally overcame the pain that was attached to the movement. I felt like running, dancing, just simply skipping around. It was a memory that became a life changer in terms of appreciation for everything we take for granted, like simply moving your leg!
I chose a piano line that is very upbeat rhythmical and constantly moving. The chorus speaks for itself. The melodic line (which I hopefully will hopefully soon record as a solo trumpet) expresses the whole range of joy I had that day with of course the realization to come down to reality, facing the road of physical therapy for my almost up to date full recovery. Forcing the melodic line to roll down to initiate the dance groove once more.
I have a very special attachment to all my tracks, but this one will remind me always of the simple joy to move freely!!

Desire

The track Desire describes all the emotional reactions caused by an initial impression of someone or something, that triggers a deep need to satisfy such desire. It creates an inner drive (therefor I chose to call the mix "inner drive") that begins to boil from within and releases with the climax of expressing the full outburst and shout out need for desire. I will add lyrics at one point to the track and a vocal line, an idea that i had immediately after creating the main melodic structure. A melody that automatically makes you say the word desire. This is also the first track where i choose to mix the beat and bass very tight to the center, a mix i begin to like more and more. It gives the song a lot more energy, inner drive! Enjoy it and share the love!!

Violin Techno!

Here is my first track using a live violin. The track is called "My Life". I wrote this tune in 1995, while studying in Mannheim, Germany. Originally it was written for the piano, which I will eventually record also, but in this version I wanted to use the violin to add a very unusual and unique sound for techno. This sound bite represents what I have been working on the last several months. I hope you will enjoy watching this video and please don't hesitate to leave your comments! Do It!
